Designer showcase at the Met tomorrow!
I'm doing an exciting designer showcase at the Met Opera tomorrow in conjunction with opening night of La Boheme. When I first moved to New York, nothing could keep me from the opera; I got permission to sketch at the rehearsals and that led to my working closely with the Metropolitan Opera to design scarves inspired by their productions. Come if you're close by! I'll be in the lobby with scarves and stories.
With a roll of bubblewrap, a tunnel and a projector -carwash style, the kids walked through a 40ft long animated spiral and into the belly of the beast at ps41
Its haunted house time, I made a giant mouth for the kids at ps41 to walk through (I'm glad its off the living room floor) They walked into an asophagus, through a long animated spiral
I was asked to art direct a fun project for Prestone Press to showcase this new printing technique that uses 3D raised transparent inkjets. It was a commercial project and well, it just won a SAPPI award for Prestone Press! The Sappi award is regarded as the worlds most respected accolade of excellence and innovation in printed communications. Prestone Press and Rob Adler are the most innovative in their field and I'm proud to have been part of this creative project! http://www.prestoneprinting.com/sappi2015/
