Poptails and 'Other Natural Wonders'

For those in New York, my friend Laurie Olinder and I are creating an event in a beautiful community garden in the East Village this Thursday, July 14th.  She will be projecting animation and showing her 'Other Natural Wonders' watercolor series and I will be introducing some intoxicating frozen 'poptails' (Pop-Art), such as the Pink Negroni, Figs Go South of The Border and Lion's Milk amongst others...   All welcome

Pleasures along the River

New drawings for 'Pleasures along the River' - part of my Paris book project.  The recipe is a cherry soup and also fruits poached in rosewater syrup ...... The moderness of the swirls and the big machine plays with the 40's/50s type calendar images...  By the way, I'm open to more commissions for Valentines, especially little animations ;)  x

Designer showcase at the Met tomorrow!

I'm doing an exciting designer showcase at the Met Opera tomorrow in conjunction with opening night of La Boheme.   When I first moved to New York, nothing could keep me from the opera; I got permission to sketch at the rehearsals and that led to my working closely with the Metropolitan Opera to design scarves inspired by their productions.  Come if you're close by!  I'll be in the lobby with scarves and stories.
